1. Information We Collect

Daily Deal Finder does not require user registration and does not collect personal information through forms on this website. We do not store, collect, or process personal data unless voluntarily provided through email contact.

When you contact us via email, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is never shared, sold, or used for marketing purposes.

2. Cookies and Tracking

Daily Deal Finder does not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any cookie-based tracking technology. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party tracking services.

2a. Browser Storage

Daily Deal Finder uses your browser's localStorage to remember your language preference (English or German). No personal data, tracking identifiers, or cookies are stored. This data never leaves your device.

2b. Server Logs

Our website is hosted on Netlify, which may automatically collect standard server log information including IP addresses, browser type, access timestamps, and referring pages. This data is used solely for operational purposes such as security monitoring and performance optimization. Server logs are retained according to Netlify's data retention policies.

3. Affiliate Links

Some links on this website may be affiliate links, including Amazon Associates links. When you click on an affiliate link and make a purchase, the retailer may place a cookie in your browser to track that the referral came from Daily Deal Finder. We do not have access to or control over these third-party cookies.

4. Pinterest API Integration

When you choose to connect your Pinterest Business account through Pinterest OAuth, we access only the permissions you explicitly grant. We request only the minimum permissions necessary: reading your public profile and boards, and creating Pins on your behalf when you explicitly initiate that action.

We do not and cannot access your Pinterest password. We do not publish, edit, delete, or modify Pinterest content without your explicit action and authorization. We do not access private messages, passwords, payment information, or other sensitive personal data.

5. Token Storage and Data Retention

When you authorize our application, Pinterest provides us with an access token and a refresh token. These tokens are stored securely and used solely to maintain your authorized connection. You can revoke access at any time through your Pinterest account settings. Upon revocation, all stored Pinterest tokens are permanently deleted.

6. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services (Pinterest API, Amazon Associates, OpenAI API) to provide our service. These services have their own privacy policies that govern their use of data.

6a. OpenAI API Usage

We use the OpenAI API for automated content generation and product image creation. Product information required for content generation may be processed through the OpenAI API. We do not intentionally transmit personal user data to OpenAI as part of normal website operation.

6b. International Data Transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, such transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws and appropriate safeguards where required.

7. Your Rights (GDPR/EEA)

7a. Data Retention

Email inquiries and associated data are retained for a maximum of 12 months after the last correspondence. Pinterest tokens are deleted immediately upon revocation through your Pinterest account settings. Language preferences stored in localStorage remain until you clear your browser data.

7b. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)

Processing of your data is based on: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for Pinterest OAuth authorization; our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for website operation, security monitoring, and server log analysis; and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) for data required by applicable law.
